Christina Stearns

Christina Stearns is an experienced attorney who is committed to conducting neutral and thorough investigations in workplace and educational settings. She brings a broad range of legal, analytical, and interpersonal skill to her work as an attorney investigator.

As an attorney at Latham & Watkins in San Francisco, Christina represented clients in complex civil and criminal litigation, while also maintaining an active pro bono practice advocating for asylum seekers. Additionally, Christina served as a law clerk to the Honorable Christina Snyder in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, where she worked on a wide variety of civil litigation matters. Most recently, she has represented clients in juvenile dependency appeals before the California Court of Appeal.

In addition to her legal practice, Christina also worked for over a decade as a program evaluator and researcher at RTI International, where she led evaluations of education and workforce development programs. In that role, she gained extensive experience conducting interviews and focus groups with diverse stakeholders, analyzing findings, and preparing comprehensive reports for clients.

Across all of these roles, Christina has developed a strong ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds. She draws on this experience to gather the information necessary to support fair, well-reasoned, and thoughtful investigative findings.

Christina is a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators. She  earned her law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where she graduated in the top 10 percent of her class. She also holds a master’s in public policy from UC Berkeley and a bachelor’s in psychology from Duke University.
